Im 34 and already been married almost 16 years and have 5 kids 😅 yeah i dont have a mcmansion but already have lots of amazing memories and love. Now my husband and I are focusing on retirement since it takes us a little longer to reach goals but very worth it to me 💖
Making the decision in your early 20's to not get married or have kids really simplifies the early 30's.
Pretty easy to become wealthier than your friends, just don't have kids or a divorce. Judging by the chart that's all you need to do.
Bought a house with my SO when we were 23, now 25. Over 100k in the bank between the two of us. Almost 200k in 401k between the two of us. Looking to retire at 45.
memories blossom is gold, the first time my son and i went camper with our camper nothing went right i mean nothing. so bad that at one point our chairs were on fire and we had no seats the rest of the trip……………. it is now may favorite memory i have with him and the best story we both have and love to tell.
What if I bought a house and started a family 10 years ago in my early 20's…
Guess I need to watch the 40's video now
Watching this while drinking my starbucks…in my paid off house lol
Age 33 is when I really started valuing my time more. I used to diy everything to save some money, but now I pay to get more time.
You almost had me in the first half about "growing up"…I was like he really telling me I'm not allowed to play pokemon? Then they kept going and I was like "oh okay they meant money and insurance etc" and I got all that already fine so okay cool.
i genuinely feel that 'do not sweat the small stuff' should not be followed totally. Personal opinion is that by sweating the small stuff, over time you will start generating this good habits and start applying this towards all areas of life, including the purchase of cars and houses. The risk of not sweating the small stuff is that over time, the small stuff can start creeping up becoming another form of lifestyle creep. A 4$ latte, becomes a 7$ snack, then to a 10$ to a 15$ item. I sweat the small stuff hence my calculations and budgets for the big stuff is much more refined and calculated and am in a very good position now. just my 2 cents.
No one can buy additional time. Be deliberate with your intentions and your money and you will be successful.

I guess I'm ahead of the game by learning this in my early 20's
